The journey to Agriturismo Podere Campiglia leads through the gently rolling hills of the upper Valdarno – a classic Tuscan landscape with olive groves, vines, scattered cypresses and ancient stone walls.
The last few kilometres run along a small, asphalted access road with little traffic, surrounded by meadows and fields. The closer you get to the house, the quieter it becomes.
Even though you don’t necessarily have to cross the village of Pian di Scò on the way, it is only a few minutes away.
And as Podere Campiglia is relatively remote and very quiet, it is advisable to run errands before you arrive.
Everything you need for a carefree stay can be found in the village of Pian di Scò: a small supermarket with a fresh produce counter, traditional butchers and bakeries, a cosy greengrocer’s shop and, as a special treat, there is a market stall with fresh fruit and vegetables from the surrounding area on Saturdays.
If you fancy a little break, it’s best to stop off at the ‘Circolo’. Here you can relax with a coffee, a cool drink or – if you order in advance – a simple, freshly prepared lunch and take in the lively village life.
A tip for the last stretch: the road becomes quite narrow and turns into a private road. Podere Campiglia is located at the very end of this road.
There are many cats in this area, so please drive carefully and very slowly.
Thank you very much, have a safe journey and a wonderful stay!
